Free agency in the NFL has lasted only a week or so, but that's all it took for chaos to ensue around the league.

We have never seen a first week of free agency that was so wild and involved so many moving parts, especially all the quarterbacks switching places.

The Buffalo Bills were very busy as well. The team released offensive linemen Daryl Williams and Jon Feliciano, linebacker A.J. Klein, defensive tackle Star Lotulelei and wide receiver, Cole Beasley.

General manager Brandon Beane signed quite a few new players via free agency over the past week. Those players include:

  • Von Miller (edge)
  • Tim Settle (defensive tackle)
  • Daquan Jones (defensive tackle)
  • Jordan Phillips (defensive tackle)
  • Shaq Lawson (defensive end)
  • Rodger Saffold (guard)
  • Greg Mancz (guard)
  • O.J. Howard (tight end)
  • Duke Johnson (running back)
  • Jamison Crowder (wide receiver)

The Bills filled a lot of depth needs in free agency, which is exactly what Beane likes to do. Fill out holes or depth in free agency and that way, you can draft the best available player in the draft.

However, there are two positions which are by far the most likely to be taken with the 25th overall pick next month.

Cornerback and wide receiver.

If you had to pick one of the two, cornerback would likely be the selection.

It's a position you can never have too many of and it's the most glaring depth need for the Bills. Washington's Kyler Gordon and Auburn's Roger McCreary are two candidates for the Bills at pick 25.

However, wide receiver is still important. Crowder only signed a one-year deal and as likable as Isaiah McKenzie is, he's not a player who will see the field in most situations. Beasley and Sanders are gone, which leaves Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis.

Ohio State's Chris Olave, Penn State's Jahan Dodson, Arkansas's Trey Burks' and Alabama's Jameson Williams are all possibilities. Western Michigan's Skyy Moore is another.

I would almost bet money on the Bills taking cornerback and wide receiver as two of their first three picks in the 2022 NFL Draft.
