The Buffalo Bills are in full offseason mode now, as they prepare to fill out their coaching staff and get set for free agency and the NFL Draft.

Last weekend, the news broke of former offensive coordinator Brian Daboll leaving to become the new head coach of the New York Giants.

There was much speculation that Bills quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator, Ken Dorsey, would follow Daboll to the Giants as their new OC, but Dorsey decided to stay in Buffalo and was promoted as the Bills new offensive coordinator.

That was a huge relief for Bills fans. Josh Allen is a huge fan of Dorsey as a coach and hinted at wanting the Bills to retain him after the season ended. It also means the Bills can keep the same offensive system that Allen has played all four years of his NFL career.

Of course, there will be new wrinkles and plays for the Bills offense with Daboll gone, and on Wednesday, came news of an exciting hire to go along with Dorsey on the Bills offensive staff.

According to Ian Rapoport of The NFL Network, the Buffalo Bills are expected to hire former Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator, Joe Brady, as their new quarterbacks coach.

Brady spent the 2020 and 2021 season with the Panthers, before being fired before the end of this past season. He was LSU's passing game coordinator and wide receiver's coach in 2019, and was an assistant with Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints in 2017 and 2018.

Brady is only 32 years old, but thought of as one of the brightest young offensive minds in professional and collegiate football. Brady was the passing game coordinator at LSU in 2019, when Joe Burrow (future first-overall pick of the Cincinnati Bengals) had the greatest season for any FBS quarterback in college football history.

Brady's tenure didn't end well in Carolina, but it should be noted that his quarterbacks there were Teddy Bridgewater, Cam Newton and Sam Darnold, all who were disappointing in performance for the Panthers. Star running back Christian McCaffrey was also hurt a large portion of Brady's two years with the Panthers.

Brady and Dorsey with Josh Allen is one of the more exciting things I can recall going into a future Bills season.
