The Buffalo Bills Make Many New Hires and Promotions
The Buffalo Bills are back at organized team activities this week, as they work with new players and coaches. Mandatory minicamp will be held next week, from June 14-16.
The Bills are the Super Bowl favorites heading into the 2022 regular season, and a big reason why that is, is due to the people in the front office.
General manager Brandon Beane has been a catalyst for starting a culture change with the Bills and the players he has drafted and signed to the roster since 2018 has gotten the team to a point where they are considered one of, if not, the best team in the NFL.
On Tuesday, Beane held a press conference to announced many new hires and promotions with the Bills front office and football departments.
The most notable moves were the promotions of Brian Gaine to assistant GM and Terrence Gray to director of player personnel.
Gaine has been with the Bills since 2019 as a senior personnel advisor. He spent one season as the Houston Texans GM in 2018.
Gray was previously the college scouting director, which he will still have a hand in overseeing, according to Beane.
The Bills also promoted Dennis Lock to director of football research.
Here are the full list of hires and promotions.
Beane said that he wants someone who he trusts to step right in if he were to not be there tomorrow. They looked outside the organization for a new assistant GM, as well as internally. They were denied an interview for an assistant GM candidate because the team said that executive was second in command, and would have been a lateral move.
We do not know which team or executive that is.
