The start of the legal tampering period for NFL free agency begins today at noon in the NFL. This is when teams are allowed to start talking and negotiating with unrestricted NFL free agents, but they cannot officially sign them until Wednesday after 4 pm, EST.

The Buffalo Bills have been busy over the past week. They released guard Jon Feliciano and linebacker A.J. Klein to help get more cap space and on Sunday, they re-signed wide receiver/kick return Isaiah McKenzie to a two-year deal worth $8 million.

On Monday morning, just before the legal tampering period began for NFL free agency, the Bills released another player and this time, it's a player who has started many games for them along the offensive line.

The Bills announced that they have released guard Daryl Williams.

Williams' release saves the Bills over $6 million towards the 2022 salary cap and roughly $3.6 million in dead cap space. His $10 million salary was just too expensive for a player who moved from tackle to guard. His play was also inconsistent.

The biggest plus for Williams was his ability to play both guard and tackle. That's where the Bills will be hurt the most but financially, it makes sense.

You can add interior offensive line to the Bills needs in free agency and the draft. Along with wide receiver, defensive tackle and cornerback.
