Bills Fans Donating Money to Help Support Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa
There are certain games that capture the attention of the sports world and even extending outside the sports world.
That was the case on Thursday night for the Miami Dolphins at the Cincinnati Bengals on Amazon Prime.
Towards the end of the first half, Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was sacked at midfield, which resulted in his head and neck being whipped back and his helmet slamming against the turf.
Tua's body language very clearly told everyone watching that he suffered a concussion and was eventually taken off on a stretcher and taken by ambulance to the University of Cincinnati Hospital.
The injury itself looked incredibly scary but the reason this became a huge story was due to the fact that Tagovailoa left this past Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills after his head hit the field and he wobbled when getting up.
Tua cleared concussion protocol but was said to have a back injury, which was the reason he stumbled and was cleared to come back into the game.
Outrage filled social media as fans, former NFL players and media members were furious that Miami allowed Tua to play on Thursday. It was announced by the team he was being evaluated for a head injury but went into Thursday questionable with a back and ankle injuries.
The good news is that Tagovailoa was discharged from the hospital late last night and went back with his team to Miami. He is in concussion protocol, according to head coach Mike McDaniel.
The Bills and Dolphins may be rivals but Bills Mafia immediately decided to step up and make donations to Tua's foundation. You can find the link to Tua's charity below.
We don't know how long Tua will be out for, but I speak for all Bills fans in saying I hope he makes a full recovery and suffers no long-term symptoms from last night.
