How do you picture yourself retiring from your career? Maybe with a nice party? At the very minimal you'd plan to give some type of notice to your employer right?!

Well none of that was in the cards for Bills CB Vontae Davis. According to ESPN.com, he abruptly retired from football during Halftime in today's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Linebacker Lorenzo Alexander reportedly expressed how the surprise retirement is disrespectful to his teammates. Davis released a statement on Twitter & Instagram after today's game that starting off by saying;

"This isn't how I pictured retiring from the NFL..."

He continuesd, "But today on the field, reality hit me fast and hard: I shouldn't be out here anymore. I meant no disrespect to my teammates and coaches." He continued.

Welp! I don't know if the season could look more bleak but we must BILLieve right?
