Beyonce’s New “Best Thing I Never Had” Flick [Video]

The video for Beyonce’s new song “Best Thing I Never Had,” premiered Thursday (July 7^th).

The video is based on a matrimonial theme and features Beyonce wearing lavish gowns and lingerie. Flashbacks to a prom she attended in 1998 with her then high school sweetheart explains her motivation behind the lyrics. She concludes the video with a marriage ceremony to a different man she’s obviously in love with.

The song is the third release off of her latest album “4” and was co-written with the legendary producer/singer Babyface

Although Beyoncé’s latest album is reported to be her lowest selling to date, the album is number one on the Billboard 200 and is at the top of the international charts including France, Spain and the UK. Beyonce is the third artist ever to have her first four studio albums debut at the #1 spot on the charts.
