Police are searching for information about a shooting that happened outside of the McDonald's restaurant in the University Plaza.

Town of Amherst police are looking for details that will lead to the arrest of the suspect, or suspects, who fired the gunshots. The restaurant was open for business when the shooting happened. According to reporting by WGRZ, no one was injured in the shooting which occurred late Sunday night into Monday morning.

Officials said that just after 3 a.m. officers responded to University Plaza after reports of shots fired in the area. Once Police arrived, witnesses said several shots had been fired toward a McDonald's in the plaza.
