16 People Were Arrested In Allegany County

Police in Allegany County, New York, were busy during the past month. 16 people were arrested for various alleged crimes. A few months ago an Allegany County woman was charged with two counts of the attempted murder of a police officer, two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer, two counts of menacing a police officer, grand larceny, resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental administration, and criminal possession of a weapon. Julia C. Groff was involved in an incident at Crosby’s Mini Mart in Bolivar, where two New York State Troopers ended up with stab wounds. A grand Jury indicted her on the charges in June 2025, per the Wellsville Sun.
