Two separate shooting took two separate lives over the weekend in Buffalo.  Here's how each one read in the news:

The first shooting happened Friday night around 7:00 p.m. in the 200 block of Oakmont Avenue, according to news reports:

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A 16-year-old boy was shot Friday evening and pronounced dead at Erie County Medical Center, according to Buffalo Police.

The shooting happened around 7:00 p.m. in the 200 block of Oakmont Avenue, which is between Suffolk Street and Edison Avenue in the city's Kensington neighborhood.

The teen's name hasn't been released, but we do know he was at a graduation party at a courtyard on Oakmont Avenue.

Buffalo Police Chief, Jeff Rinaldo, said this: (according to news reports)

"This is another horrible example of somebody who is 16, they have their entire life ahead of them, and it's been ended prematurely due to senseless violence, you know, we're seeing great cooperation in these cases, especially when it affects a young person's life, and, you know, we can't allow people that are going to commit these acts of violence to wander the streets of our city."

 

The 2nd shooting over the weekend, according to news reports, took place:

"a little past 9 p.m. Saturday for a shooting on Greenwood Place, near West Delavan".

The shooting took the life of a 25 Year-Old.  The News Report reads as follows:

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Police say a 25-year-old man who was shot on the city's west side Saturday night has died.

The victim had been taken to Erie County Medical Center with what police called serious injuries.

The call went out a little past 9 p.m. Saturday for a shooting on Greenwood Place, near West Delavan.
