This week the “TALK OF THE TOWN” “716 SPOTLIGHT” comes from the East Side of Buffalo N.Y, A.I. The Anomaly. This buffalo native just signed to one of the largest christian hip hop labels in the country. A.I. came thru to chop it up with me before she heads out on tour; plus she came with gifts dropping off her latest single "EastSide". We talked about her new deal, the definition and meaning of her name, we talked about her struggles from losing her mother at an early age, foster care, drug addiction, we even talked about how being a single mother helped her get her life back on track and so much more.

What does your name A.I. stand for?

So A.I stands for "All In" everything I do I try to give my all.... We all have one life to live, you got birth, you got death and you got the dash in between and im trying give it  my all in between. The Anomaly is the deviation from the rule - "failure to thrive"......

When did you first start to develop a love for writing?

...at the age of six or so we had to go to counseling bc of the traumatic issues and childhood trauma ...and one of the counselors was really trying to get through to me bc I had a hard time expressing myself.....she told me to write down my feelings and she said I could create stories and talk about my feelings...so that's where I began to have this passion for writing...

Do you use your real life pain for inspiration for your music?

...Yea... how I was when I was dipping in the streets, I gave it my all...that's why its A.I  I'ma  go "All IN" that's the decision I made when I was doing what I was doing on that side I was going all in... who ever I was , whatever I was doing, I was talking about it, I was being real, and so now flip sides this is my life so this is me being real....
