My Thursday nights from 9pm - 11pm are set for the season. First with Touch, a captivating dramatic mix of spirituality and science, starring Kiefer Sutherland on FOX. Then at 10pm I turn over to ABC for Kerry Washington's Scandal!

Russell Simmons recently wrote an open letter to Miss Washington, stating:

37 years. That is the amount of time it has been since an African-American woman had the lead role in an hour-long primetime dramatic series on network television.

Still Kerry deserves all the positive attention she has been given from The View, Uncle Russ and more. I absolutely LOVE the new hour-long political drama for its fresh cast of characters and story line.

Scandal proves to be another hit for writer/producer Shonda Rhimes (creator of Grey's Anatomy).

 Shonda reveals that her inspiration for the new ABC series is D.C.-based crisis manager extraordinaire, Judy Smith.

Just like Kerry Washington's character, Judy Smith is a former White House Press Aide, famously represents the well-to-do who are in high-end contretemps — including Monica Lewinsky, the Chandra Levy family, Michael Vick, BP after the Gulf oil spill.
