13 Windiest Locations In Western New York

There are high wind warnings posted for just about all of Western New York today and that could mean some damage for areas around Buffalo that get hit the hardest.

When the wind gusts up to and over 60 mph, there is a good chance that the wind will snap branches and tear shingles off of roofs. It will also toss around your garbage cans and recyclables that you put at the curb.

But where are the locations that typically get the strongest winds? If you have been around the region, you may be familiar with a few of these places. Whether you are on foot or in a car or truck, you will feel the push of the strong winds even more in places like Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.

The Buffalo Bills will play their division rival, New England Patriots, in a Monday Night Football game in Orchard Park. The winds are expected to be howling for the start of the game and will most likely be a factor. It will most certainly be cold as the temps will drop with the swirling winds.
