*WARNING* There’s a Romaine Lettuce E-Coli & Egg Salmonella Bacteria Outbreak Nationwide!
This is absolutely serious and very bad new for me and others who are trying to eat healthier and also those trying to shed a few pounds with the warmer weather on then horizon...finally.
The Setback? Romaine Lettuce...but wait...throw eggs in the mix as well. According to an article I read, the advice is to 'throw out any romaine lettuce in the house'. The article also urges, 'while you’re at it', to check all of your egg cartons. You may just need to throw away those eggs you have too, as 200 Million Eggs are said to carry Salmonella. According to Google, 'Salmonella is usually transmitted to humans by eating foods contaminated with animal feces' .
There's no option with the Romaine...JUST THROW IT AWAY PERIOD...but the eggs are a bit of a different story. Here's how to check you eggs: Look for the Plant # P-1065 on your Egg Carton Label and a Printed Packing Date of 0-11 thru 102. Salmonella Bacteria Poisoning can be fatal.
