New York Man On The Run, Wanted For Attempted Murder

Police in New York State are on high alert searching for a wanted man. The suspect is wanted for a violent crime. The 28-year-old man is considered armed and dangerous. The Ticonderoga Police Department put the area on notice, and businesses and schools were locked down on Monday, April 14, 2024. Ticonderoga, New York, is located very close to the Vermont border in the North Country. The suspect may have crossed the border or could be in New York.

A manhunt is underway for Jacob Sawyer, a resident of Ticonderoga. He is accused of stabbing a woman on the afternoon of Sunday, April 13. He then fled, which has led to police searching for him. The victim was taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition. A warrant was issued for Sawyer's arrest. He has been charged with attempted murder, burglary, and criminal possession of a weapon.

Sawyer is a white male who is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. As of time of this writing (Tuesday morning), he has not been apprehended. 2 New York Men Wanted On Murder Charges

Sawyer isn't the only man wanted by police in New York. Two New York men are wanted for murder. They both made New York State's 'Most Wanted Fugitives' list. They are considered armed and dangerous by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision's Office of Special Investigations.  Under no circumstances should you try to apprehend any of these fugitives.

1. Angel Hernandez was born on November 9, 1962. He is 5 feet, 6 inches and weighs 149 pounds. Hernandez was convicted of Murder 2nd, Robbery 1st, Robbery 2nd, Reckless Endangerment, and Att. Promoting Prison Contraband 1st in Manhattan and Brooklyn. He has a tattoo of a naked lady, a skull, and flames on his right arm, as well as Jesus, the grim reaper, and a lady on his left arm.

2. Armendo Moreno, was born on June 1, 1961. He is Hispanic, weighs 165 pounds, and stands 5 feet 6 inches tall. He is wanted on charges of murder, sodomy, aggravated sexual assault, and criminal possession of a weapon in Westchester. He is a level 3 sex offender.
