UB Hoops set a program record

What a historic season for the the UB men's basketball team is nationally ranked, for 18 weeks straight which is  a new program record. These guys have been playing hard all last year. The Bulls no. 18 in this week's AP Poll, one spot higher than their ranking last week.They finished the season at 28-3  and finished conference play with a 16-2 record.

They open up Mid-American Conference Tournament play this Thursday as the no. 1 overall seed. Also University at Buffalo's Nick Perkins has been named the Sixth Man of the Year by sports website Bleacher Report. The Big Bull homie has nine games with more than 20 points. No other reserve in the nation has more than six, according to Bleach Report.

The Mid-American Conference Tournament begins this week and the UB men and women have both earned byes to the quarterfinal round.
