Troopers Looking for Reckless and Distracted Drivers and Conducting Sobriety Checkpoints This Weekend
Drink responsibly this July 4th weekend to save yours and someone else's life, while keeping in mind that the 4th of July weekend is the deadliest time to be driving compared to any other day of the year (according to a finder.com report)...and that's due to over drinking. You will have some help protecting yourself and others the weekend as State Troopers will definitely be out conducting sobriety checks as well as on the roads looking for reckless and distracted drivers, according to WGRZ.
Governor Andrew Cuomo added this, according to the WGRZ News report:
"While the July Fourth weekend is a time to celebrate and spend time with family and friends, too often drinking leads to poor decisions when it is time to go home. To ensure safety on our roads this holiday, State Police and local law enforcement will be cracking down on impaired driving of any kind."
New York State Police Superintendent Keith M. Corlett shared this, according to WGRZ,
"Troopers will be highly visible this weekend on the lookout for impaired, drugged, and reckless drivers. Our message is simple: If you drink and drive, it's likely that you will end up in jail. Stay safe and don't make a bad decision that costs your life or the life of someone else."
The WBLK Staff wished you a very Safe and Great 4th of July Weekend and PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY and PLEASE DRIVE RESPONSIBLY.
