The Resource Council of WNY, Tops Markets and various local partners are working together to provide free food to families and all those impacted by the mass shooting that took place on May 14th at Tops Markets, located on Jefferson Avenue in the City of Buffalo.

The food giveaway will begin today at 2pm until 9pm, and continue each day from 9am – 9pm, located at the Resource Council of WNY, 347 East Ferry Street, just two blocks away from Tops Markets, which is temporarily closed while the investigation into the mass shooting continues.

During the daily food giveaway, mental health counseling will also be available to assist community members and their families who have been affected.


This collaborative community effort includes support from the following government agencies and organizations:

The food giveaway will help ensure that residents from that community will continue to have access to nutritious food, basic necessities and toiletries until at least Friday, May 27th or until Tops Markets announces plans to re-open.
