The Remake Retake – “Heaven Must Be Like This”
Today’s Remake Retake features a song from the Dayton, Ohio funk group known as the Ohio Players. The song was never released as a single but became an instant LP cut favorite of R&B fans from coast to coast.
In 1998, the soundtrack to the movie “Down In The Delta” featured neo-soul singer D’Angelo doing his rendition of this smooth track to a live audience. Although I think it is going to be very hard to sway remake retake voters to his side, he did an excellent job on this classic song.
