If you have been patiently waiting for D'Angelo to release a follow-up to his incredible 2000 album, 'Voodoo,' you're in luck, because his next release, 'Black Messiah,' is on its way.

The album, his first in over 14 years, is rumored to arrive in stores on Dec. 16, but there hasn't been an official confirmation from D'Angelo's management. However, a short trailer was released to give fans a little insight on the album's title.

According to Pitchfork, the first song from the project will premiere this Sunday (Dec. 14) on Red Bull's website and there will also be a Nelson George-hosted listening session for the entire album in New York.

In addition, it seems the artwork for the project has been completed. The veteran R&B singer chose a black-and-white photo of a crowd of churchgoers throwing their hands up in praise.

There's even been a few promotional posters popping up in Brooklyn, N.Y., which reads, "All we wanted was a chance to talk, 'stead we only got outlined in chalk."

D'Angelo has also announced that he will embark on a European jaunt in 2015 called 'The Second Coming Tour.' The overseas trek will take him to Switzerland, Germany, France, England, Norway, Belgium and a slew of other places.

Obviously, fans are happy to hear that D'Angelo is releasing a new project and are anxious to hear what the crooner sounds like after a 14-year hiatus.
