Former Harlem Globetrotter and University of Buffalo Basketball Star, Jim Horne is nothing short of a Blessing to the Buffalo Community and it's youth.  This humble gentleman seldom talks about or focuses on his successes, rather his passion is young people.  His 2nd passion is golf.  Those two combined have come together to create The Jim Horne Golf Foundation.

As you'll hear in the interview below, Jim Horne grew up in Buffalo and fell in love with the sport of golf, but for the most part had no place to play other than Delaware Park, where he would go on his own and hit balls, due to the fact that African-Americans were not so much welcome in the Private Golf and Country Clubs back in the day, so to speak.  Jim Horne was so celebrated and honored as a Basketball Star at UB, that he had special privileges that other Blacks may not have had at the time. That favor opened doors for him to begin playing at the local Golf Clubs and be accepted.
