Taste Of Buffalo Ranked One Of America’s Top Food Festivals

In Western New York, there are quite a few things that we bond on. Among those are football, hockey, and beer. There is also another thing that is sure to bring people together, and we all know it's food.

There's just something about the food in the 716. Besides the fact that it brings us together, it's delicious. Often, it's so good that it brings us national recognition.

We do it so well that Buffalo has once again landed on USA Today's list of top food festivals in the United States. With the Taste of Buffalo upon us, it's the perfect time to show the country why Buffalo is the best city in New York State.

Ten Best City Food Festivals In America

USA Today routinely gathers experts from around the nation to compile a list of the cities with the best food festivals, which is presented to the world for a vote. After compiling the votes for its 10 Best lists, Buffalo ranked as having the best food festival in America.

The Taste of Buffalo Is Ranked The 3rd Best In The United States

In 2023, the Taste of Buffalo held the top spot in the country. In 2024, we slipped down a few notches to third place, which is respectable.

Of course, we Buffalonians know better. The two-day food festival, which occurs dead center in the heart of downtown Buffalo, is simply one of the most anticipated events of the year. People from all over the world travel to Western New York to sample our food and leave here with full bellies and a huge smile.

Taste of Buffalo shows off Buffalo's blossoming food truck and restaurant scene, as well as wines from New York State vineyards. Regional specialties abound, from beef on weck to sponge candy to Buffalo wings.

The only cities good enough to knock us out of the top slot this year are Greenville, South Carolina, and Queens, New York. Our third-place finish puts us above several other top food cities, such as New Orleans, Louisiana, Austin, Texas, Chicago, and several others.

The 41st Annual Taste of Buffalo, presented by Tops, is scheduled for Saturday, July 13, 2024, and Sunday, July 14, 2024, and will take place in Niagara Square in Downtown Buffalo.
