Snoop Dogg Says He’s Working On A Biopic
It looks like Uncle Snoop may be the next person to turn his life story into a biopic.
In a recent interview with Vic Jagger on Majic 102.3/92.7, he revealed that he is currently in the works of developing a biopic based on his life story.
Using the hit show “Narcos” on Netflix as an example, Uncle Snoop said he would like his life story to be told in different stages, dating back to the late 1960’s showcasing his parents. The story would then cover his childhood growing up the 1970’s and will eventually cover his budding rap career in the 1990’s.
He said, “To me, that’s more enticing than a two-hour Snoop Dogg movie.”
Uncle Snoop mentioned that he has already gotten with a few people to get the ball rolling on the project. Initially, he didn’t want to spill too much about the biopic, but eventually, he ended up revealing that the untitled project is in conjunction with Lee Daniels and Ryan Coolgler.
Snoop was briefly portrayed in the 2015 biopic “Straight Outta Compton,” which focused on the story of the legendary hip-hop group N.W.A.
In the meantime, Uncle Snoop can be seen traveling the country in his new stage play, “Redemption of a Dogg,” alongside Tamar Braxton.
