Are you a member or leader of a Block Club in the City of Buffalo? If so, your Block Club maybe eligible for a Grant from the City of Buffalo for up to $750.00.

As part of the City of Buffalo Division of Citizen Services new Wintermission Initiative Program, grants are being made available for Block Clubs to implement a volunteer led approach to improve the qualify of line in the City of Buffalo.

The program is an innovative new idea that aims to combat social isolation and increase the levels of physical activity during the winter for all residents, no matter their age, ability, socio-economic, or ethnocultural backgrounds.

The long term goals of the program include (but isn't limited to):

  • Creating Community Inclusivity
  • Intergenerational Volunteerism
  • and Increased Sidewalk Accessibility within the participating neighborhoods

Applications for this grant program are available through the Division of Citizen Services located at Buffalo City Hall, 65 Niagara Square, Room 218 in Buffalo and they are due to the City of Buffalo by the end of this month. So you have to move fast if you are interested.
