For many Western New York schools, this weekend marks the beginning of spring break! It's finally here, and while you may be planning a vacation with your family, a lot of people have opted to stay close to Buffalo this weekend.

For the second weekend of April, there are a lot of events planned in Western New York, and we have narrowed down the top events for the weekend. Every Friday, Kadie's Kalendar takes a closer look at 10 of the best events going on around Western New York for that weekend, and while you may think it's a slow weekend, this list will prove that there is something for everyone!

One of your favorite annual spring meat raffles will be held this weekend (yes, there are some free stuff included!). Take your kids to an early Easter egg hunt in Lockport, go out to the Disney-themed ball with your friends,  and let's not forget about the Brown Water Derby -- all happening this weekend in Western New York.

There is so much to choose from on the list, I completely get it, but at the top of my weekend wish list, I have to go with the adult Easter egg at the Rec Room. Egg hunts are fun for the grown-ups, too! However, a close second would be the Buffalo Record Riot, because I love throwing a vinyl on the turntable while I clean the house.

It's going to be a fun and exciting weekend in Western New York, but it's always fun when you live in Buffalo, right? We just get it.
