Rick Ross Is a Rap ‘Mastermind’ At Sold-Out New York City Show [EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS]
Rick Ross celebrated the release of his sixth studio album, ‘Mastermind,’ in New York City with a sold-out show at Best Buy Theater last night (March 3).
Hot 97’s DJ Enuff had the crowd bouncing by spinning some notable hip-hop tunes both old and new school. Fans grew impatient before Ross took the stage, but he didn’t disappoint when he finally arrived, donning a furry red coat and dark shades. He kicked off his set with the fan favorite ‘B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast) and went on to perform older recognized tracks like ‘I’m a Boss’ and ‘Hustlin.’
They don't call him "Ricky Rozay" for nothing as he drank Luc Belaire rosé onstage, which prompted the saying of the night to be "Can I get a Rozay?" Since the rapper was in New York City, Ross knew how to keep the crowd going by performing his verse on Jay-Z’s ‘F---withmeyouknowigotit.’
Heavy hitters such as Jay, Diddy, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and French Montana are just a handful of names that offer guest vocals on ‘Mastermind.’ Ross sincerely told the crowd that the night wasn’t just a concert but an album release party just before he performed new tracks such as ‘Blk & Wht’ and ‘The Devil Is a Lie’ from his new project.
Major moments in the show included surprise guest Busta Rhymes, who performed a snippet of 'Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See.' He also called Ross one of his favorite MCs of all time. French Montana also made a special appearance to perform 'Nobody' with the bawse.
