The New Year is quickly approaching and many people all over the world embark in the tradition of making a New Year's Resolution. Although it wasn't always called a New Year's Resolution, the ideology has religious origins as believers of different faiths made different vows and promises at the start of each new year to do better. The actual term wasn't coined until after the great depression but contrary to it's popularity, studies show that only 22% of people who set New Year's Resolutions actually follow-through with them!
