Today Prince Rogers Nelson is celebrating his 54^th birthday. Born Prince Roger Nelson on June 7, 1958 in Minneapolis, this singer/songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist starred in the movies Purple Rain, Under The Cherry Moon, Sign ‘O’ The times and Graffiti Bridge.

He founded the Paisley park record label and went on to discover a number of artists and formed bands all while releasing some of the greatest R&B/Pop songs of all time.
