Efforts to stop gun violence in Buffalo don't seem to be working! I hate seeing these headlines, because I know so many people who are working to try to stop the gun violence that has been plaguing our city this summer. These shootings are not only taking lives, but are also leaving families torn apart. Even if the victims don't die, they may suffer injuries or psychological issues for the rest of their lives. I have talked with many community organizers, who are fighting to stop the violence that continues to disrupt our communities.
Here are some organizations you can get involved in:
- MVP (2020 Anti-Gun Violence campaign)
- Buffalo Peacemakers
- Buffalo SNUG
- Stop the Violence Foundation
