Bills Mafia Member Gets In Twitter Feud With P!nk
A lot of arguments have sparked over social media in the last week following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the 1973 ruling of Roe vs. Wade, and more than a handful of people, from community members to celebrities, have made statements, indicating their thoughts and feelings on the situation.
One of those celebrities, who is known for speaking her mind, is P!nk, known for songs like “Lady Marmalade,” “So What,” and “Just Give Me A Reason.”
A day after the Supreme Court ruling, P!nk took to Twitter and did not hold back.
With close to 36,000 retweets and counting, the tweet caught a lot of people’s attention, including one famous person who is part of the Bills Mafia.
Michael Caputo is a proud member of the #BillsMafia, according to his Twitter bio, but that’s not all he is known for. Born in Buffalo, NY, Caputo also served as the assistant secretary of public affairs in the Department of Health and Human Services in the Trump Administration between April 2020 - January 2021.
Caputo was one of thousands of people that responded to P!nk’s tweet. This is what he said:
“Are you a singer?”
It may be hard to read tone over text, but I think everyone can tell that was a little sarcastic…including P!nk, who responded once again, creating a very public Twitter feud between her and Caputo.
P!nk responded with, “Today I am a woman that you feel the need to belittle for your cause. Does this make you feel powerful? “Man in suit belittles woman because he’s afraid of her power.” Original.”
It didn’t stop Caputo, though. He responded to the tweet.
“Nope. Wrong, but I’ve googled you to figure it out. You had a nice career, albeit nowhere near my taste in music. You’re certainly entitled to your opinion. Luckily for pre-born babies, the Supreme Court majority disagrees with you. Still: best wishes to you!” Caputo responded.
Some people who were following the discussion on Twitter quickly realized that they couldn’t see Caputo’s tweets, as he had gone through and blocked a few that had decided to “side” with P!nk.
Although there were people that accused P!nk of being unable to handle hearing the “Republican viewpoint,” she added somewhat of a disclaimer.
The arguments that have followed the overturn of the 1973 ruling of Roe vs. Wade are far from over, and I’m sure that come November, we’ll have another reason to be uncomfortable at Thanksgiving.
