Phase Two of Reopening WNY Could Start on Tuesday
Phase two of reopening Western New York could start as early as Tuesday.
Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul said WNY could potentially start phase 2 of reopening early next week.
“I’m following the metrics closely, morning, noon and night. And they seem to be holding in a positive direction. So, all signs point to a Phase Two opening one week from today.” ~ Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul via WGRZ
Under phase two, businesses such as law offices, accounting and consulting firms, salons and barbershops would be able to reopen, according to WGRZ. In order to reopen, a business must submit a safety plan to NYS.
The Western New York region will need to maintain the seven metrics that the state requires, in order to move onto phase two of reopening. In addition to Erie County, the WNY region is comprised of Niagara, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.
