Odell Beckham Jr. Asks What’s Good to Eat in Buffalo?
We're about to kick off week 5 of the 2022 NFL season and one of the biggest storylines are the sheer number of injuries that have happened around the league.
It feels like most teams have a long injury list, including the Buffalo Bills, who have another long list of injuries this week.
Tremaine Edmunds, Jordan Poyer and Dawson Knox were among the players who did not practice on Wednesday, and the wide receiver room is all of a sudden very thin.
Jamison Crowder is out indefinitely with a broken ankle, while Isaiah McKenzie is still in concussion protocol. Jake Kumerow is week-to-week with a high ankle sprain as well.
That means the Bills only have three healthy wide receivers on the active roster and could use a veteran free agent right now, especially considering they parted ways with practice squad receiver Tavon Austin.
There's been a lot of buzz about star veteran Odell Beckham Jr. being a potential target. His former teammate at the end of last season, Von Miller, has been publicly lobbying for the Bills to go after OBJ but his services could also be needed by the Los Angeles Rams, who he won the Super Bowl with last season.
OBJ is currently visiting teams, like the Saints, Buccaneers and Giants (according to Von Miller) but Miller added OBJ would be an ideal fit in Buffalo.
Beckham Jr. responded on Twitter (jokingly) that Von's giving away too much information, but also said "what y'all got to eat out there (in Buffalo)?"
Considering OBJ has ACL surgery in February, the earliest he would be ready for game action would be in November, but it's clear he's getting close to a return since he's now visiting teams.
I think the Rams need him the most right now, but the Bills could certainly use him as well, especially losing Crowder for what looks like the season.
