Early voting indeed begins this weekend in New York State, and although COVID19 news has taken 2nd place behind George Floyd's death and the protests for Police reform?  Well, COVID-19 hasn't gone anywhere...but there has been a reduction in cases locally.

Here are some of the new 'rules' and info you'll need and have to follow at the polls, according to a WGRZ News report:

  • Voters must wear a mask or wait to vote until all others are finished
  • Polls open at 12 noon and voting will take place through June 21
  • Erie County has 37 precincts where people can vote...that's the largest number of precincts in New Yor State, according to the WGRZ News report
  • Personal protective equipment will be distributed to all poll workers
  • Polls will be open from 12 noon until 6 p.m. on weekends and 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Friday.
