Thousands Flood Into Niagara Square For No Kings Protest In Downtown Buffalo
Autumn isn't the only season we're in this time of year. Not only is it election season, with several local and county-level offices up for a vote in a few weeks, we're also smack dab in protest season. As the federal government shutdown drags into its third week, millions of people all over the world participated in a series of protests that are aimed directly at the current leaders in the American federal government.
The second round of No Kings protests, which happened in more than 2,500 cities in America and beyond, is directly square at current US President Donald Trump and what many consider to be bad actions done by him and his administration. While members of the Republican party have called the rally a hate-America Rally, the protesters considered the actions of the current administration tantamount to dictatorship, which is why they call the protest No Kings.
The Buffalo rally, which took place in Niagara Square outside of Buffalo City Hall, was attended by thousands who chanted and carried signs as they gathered and protested around the McKinley Monument.

Many of the signs that protesters had were serious, with strong messages urging people to express their rights before they are potentially taken away. While other signs were more humorous and fun, with some people even dressed in costumes.
