Rapper Nipsey Hussle is accusing the Los Angeles police of unfair treatment after he was detained Wednesday (July 17) during a peaceful rally on behalf of Trayvon Martin. And it was all caught on video.

According to TMZ, the incident started when someone hurled a bottle at the rapper's Mercedes Benz coupe. He and his brother exchanged words with the perpetrator and got back inside the car. That's when LAPD stopped the vehicle and eventually detained them on suspicion of carrying a handgun.

According to Hussle, he was handcuffed and the cops allegedly used excessive force on his handicapped brother. "They pushed his face on the concrete. They dropped a knee in his spine then twisted his arm and cuffed him while he was not resisting," he said.

Although police found no weapon, they did discover that Hussle had two outstanding warrants and, subsequently, had to impound his car.

Despite being harassed by police, Hussle doesn't think it was a case of racial profiling. "I think it was the result of hyper sensitive LAPD officers overreacting once again," he said.

Hours later, Hussle released a song that speaks volumes about the rough day he was having and the many blessings he has in his life right now.

The song is called 'Blessings' and it's a head-nodding banger produced by 1500 or Nothin and the Futuristiks.

On the track, Hussle raps about his good fortunes and asks the Lord to protect him while he stays on his grind.

"Bless us in abundance, let us ball hard / And protect us when they threatened us with a false charge / Bless us Lord / 'Cause n----- are with the extras Lord / Help me let the weight of what I made steer my directions more," he raps.

We are glad that Nipsey Hussle didn't let the incident ruin his day. Keep your head up, Nip.
