Tons Of Fun & Activities At This Year’s Niagara County Fair 

Now that the calendar has flipped from July to August, it's quickly becoming clear that the end of summer is near. Not only are we getting deep into the dog days of summer, but we're also right on the verge of fair season.

One of the great things about the Empire State, there is a large diversity of activities and events to do, including a plethora of county fairs. Not only do we have the Great New York State Fair on deck this year, but the Niagara County Fair is here, and there are tons of things for you to do this year in Lockport, New York.

The Niagara County Fair Is Here

Going since the 1850's, the Niagara County Fair is back in 2026 on Lake Avenue in Lockport.

In addition to all of your classic county fair activities like local youth programs, agriculture, and education, you also have tons of rides and great food for the whole family to participate in at a very affordable price. This year the fair kicks off on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, and runs through Sunday, August 9, 2026. The fair is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 am to 10 pm, and on Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.

We have rides for toddlers all the way up to adults. Whether you like the slow going carousel, some bumper cars, Ferris wheel, slow and going rides up to some more thrill seeking, some smaller roller coasters, the pirate ship, all of your classic county fair rides for all ages.

Fair tickets are available online at the Niagara County Fair website or at the fair gate, with prices starting at just $10 per person. There is a special weekly fair pass available for $30, giving you the chance to attend all week. Plus, on Sunday, there is a special carload ticket sale where a carload of folks can get in for just $20.

While there is always so much to do in Buffalo and Western New York, making sure you get outside and live the fair life is key. The best part of going to the Niagara County Fair is that all the proceeds support the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County, which is a non-profit that supports programming that looks to benefit kids and families in Niagara County.
