32 People Were Arrested In Niagara County This Week

Police in Niagara County spent the past week arresting people accused of committing crimes. Niagara County is made up of quite a few cities, towns, and villages including the City of Lockport, the City of North Tonawanda, the City of Niagara Falls, the Town of Lewiston, the Town of Lockport, the Town of Wheatfield, and the Village of Youngstown.

When it comes to crime in Niagara County, arrests are the same this week as they were last week when 32 people were arrested. It is sad that Niagara Falls is not what it used to be when it comes to tourist destinations. Many people who can go to the Canadian side of the Falls choose to go to that side. There are more restaurants and activities. It would be great if leadership in Niagara Falls and Niagara County could build it back up. We have such a beautiful natural wonder here in Western New York, but crime seems to have taken over.

I will say that one place I do enjoy in Niagara Falls, which brings a lot of tourists and shows is the Seneca Niagara Casino. It's like its own city within the Falls. There are quite a few restaurants, a spa, shopping, bars, a lounge, an event center, and a hotel.

Plus, they bring lots of entertainers to the area, which is a good look for the American side of the Falls. Hopefully, the folks in charge of Niagara Falls will put more effort into creating more experiences for tourists to help bring back its allure and glory. The more there is to do and the more jobs there, the less likely some people will be to commit crimes. Contact me here.
