What To Expect For New York’s Fall Weather This Year
The Old Farmer's Almanac has released its predictions for fall weather in New York. Will the heat continue, or will we catch a break? The Old Farmer's Almanac's predictions for summer 2025. No matter where you live in New York, it's supposed to be miserable! Some parts of the state, namely the Western New York and the Northern New York regions, are predicted to be "hot and rainy."
The Old Farmer's Almanac says, "August will bring above-normal temperatures across most regions, with only a few exceptions. Given recent trends, we wouldn’t be surprised to see record-breaking heat."
The bulk of the state is looking at "hot and dry" temps the rest of this summer.

I know summer is a lot of people's favorite season, but not mine. I don't like doing things outside when it's hot. My favorite seasons are spring (which is fairly short in New York) and fall. According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, New York's fall is looking pretty good. It should provide relief from the hot summer temps. The Almanac just released its predictions, and our climate all around the state is predicted to be cool and dry.
"Expect cooler and drier conditions than usual. September brings an average temperature of 59°F (2° below normal) with 3.5” of precipitation—wet in the north, drier in the south. October will average 46°F (3° below normal) with just 2.5” of rain. Look for scattered showers, brief warm spells, and overall chilly weather."
With August predicted to be either hot and rainy or hot and dry, the fall prediction is music to my ears.
