New Scam Alert: Scammer Pretends to be Buffalo Police Officer

Who the heck would want to act like an officer and them ask for these crazy things exchange for not being charged?? Let alone a Buffalo Police officer??? Buffalo Police are warning you about a new phone scam.

This person is calling local numbers using a police district phone number, and pretending to be a Buffalo police officer.

That person then tells you to buy gift cards to avoid being charged with a crime. Police say if you get this call, you should hang up immediately and call 911 to report it. Don't go for it at all!
