He appeared in court in front of United States District Judge Mae D’Agostino on Monday. Sandikci pleaded guilty to making arrangements to meet a young girl for sex. In addition, he admitted to sending obscene material to her. When Sandikci arrived at the arranged location in Menands, the police were waiting for him and they took him into custody at that location.

In accordance with the plea deal, Mr. Sandikci admitted to making arrangements to have sex with a child and sending sexually explicit images through a cell phone application. Judge D’Agostino sentenced Mr. Sandikci to 71 months in prison and 15 years of supervised probation. In addition, he must pay a $5000 special assessment fee and he must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

This whole incident is very disturbing on many levels. First, we have a 46-year-old man driving a long way to meet up, with and have sex with a 13-year-old child. That is called pedophilia. To make matters even worse, the 46-year-old man was working in an elementary school. I really hope that the children he encountered at school were not victims themselves. It amazes me after years of watching "To Catch A Predator" people are still trying to pull this stunt online.
