Need a Job: The Library is Hosting a Virtual Job Fair Today
The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library will be hosting a Virtual Job Fair today (June 11).
If you are looking for a job, you can attend the free Virtual Job Fair on the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library's Facebook page. The job fair will be held from 10 am to 1 pm. There will be more than 18 companies from the WNY area with positions to fill, according to a press release emailed to me.
The Library's Career and Technology teams are also offering instructional videos on a variety of topics to help job-seekers, including resume writing. Some of the companies and organizations that will be participating today include Spectrum, Best Self Behavioral Health, Inc., Home Depot, Erie Community College and Buffalo Public Schools Adult Education.
The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library also offers a ton of resources on its website. It has a page dedicated to jobs and resources for people looking for jobs. You can visit the Library's job page here. The eight libraries in Buffalo have reopened, including the Central Library in downtown. Others around Western New York have also reopened or will reopen soon. There are limited hours and safety protocols in place. You can find the hours and library locations that are open here.
