As awareness around Juneteenth grows, there is a growing hunger and desire for people to learn more about America's newest holiday.
With Buffalo being a huge hotbed of history, with roots dating back to the founding of the nation, the legacy of Juneteenth, and the 50 years that Western New York has supported education on the plight of former slaves in America, this is likely one of the best places to do so.
To help with that effort, the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library is hosting a free screening of a Juneteenth movie that everyone around Western New York should make time to see.
