Multiple Shootings in Buffalo Have Police Officials Frustrated
As we get closer to the official start of summer, we're seeing more instances of gun violence in the City of Buffalo.
According to WKBW, an unidentified 25-year-old Buffalo man was shot Thursday, June 10th, while standing on a porch on Grider Street near East Delavan Avenue. He was pronounced dead by medical professionals at the Erie County Medical Center. Investigators are currently searching for details about this incident.
Shooting on Benzinger Street Forces Nearby School Into Lockdown
Earlier this afternoon another unidentified man was shot in the leg while on Benzinger Street near East Lovejoy Street. To ensure the safety of children who attend the nearby Buffalo Public School number 43, officials placed that school into lockdown. According to WKBW-TV, the students were dismissed from the school after the crime scene was cleared.
Buffalo Man Shot While on Moselle Street
The Buffalo News is reporting about a 59-year-old Buffalo man who was shot in the leg while he was on Moselle Street near East Ferry Street earlier this week. The report stated the otherwise unidentified man was being treated at the Erie County Medical Center and was listed in stable condition.
Officials Frustrated by String of Violence
Public officials and police investigators in Buffalo and Erie County are seeking more help from the public to solve these crimes and to finds ways to stem the violence on our streets. Officials have recently increased the financial reward amounts that are available for people who provide information about crimes. Officials are also pleading with people to come forward and help be a solution.
