I recently talked with some friends in the Art and Entertainment industry, and they were excited to hear about the recent announcement of venus now being able to host events at a higher capacity. As we all know, many people in this business have been struggling as much as any other business trying to maintain during this pandemic.

Performing Arts and Entertainment venues can reopen in New York. Although there will be limits on the capacity and there will be safety protocols in place, this is a good sign for people here in Buffalo that are looking to get back out and enjoy some art and entertainment. The limit will be 33 percent capacity for now and there will be a limit of 100 people for indoor venues and up to 200 people for outdoor venues.

Another important rule to the reopening of these venues is, all attendees must be able to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test or proof that they have been vaccinated. This is a great situation for the venues because if this is done,  capacity can increase to 150 people indoors and 500 people outdoors. There will be social distancing measures in place as well as a face mask requirement and other health protocols.

Outdoor concerts are big here in Buffalo, and it's going to be really exciting to see and hear live entertainment again. Now that vaccines are becoming more available for residents here, I think we really should be starting to make progress toward everyone being vaccinated.
