Yesterday The White House proclaimed June as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Pride Month. Check out this excerpt from President Obama's statement:

"As progress spreads from State to State, as justice is delivered in the courtroom, and as more of our fellow Americans are treated with dignity and respect -- our Nation becomes not only more accepting, but more equal as well. During Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month, we celebrate victories that have affirmed freedom and fairness, and we recommit ourselves to completing the work that remains."

With this in mind, are we ready to accept a MALE Prom Queen? Danbury High School in Connecticut is and has crowned 17 yr old Nasir, an openly gay male, as QUEEN!!! Actually he was nominated Prom King and Queen and won the crown usually reserved for a female student. Watch his story below:

I know the female nominees for Prom Queen are feeling some type of way right now! What do you think?
