Pastor Pridgen was well in time for a planned Drive-In style Easter Service where people could sit in their cars in the True Bethel Baptist Church parking lot and listen to the service on closed-circuit radio, according to a news story on WGRZ.

Erie County Executive Marc Polencarz was not in favor of the event, according to a report in the Buffalo News, saying this:

"I do not recommend, and we are not recommending, drive-up masses of any type,"
