18 Year-Old with Local Ties Determined to Help Others with Cerebral Palsy!
18 Year-Old Lauren Wailer was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when she was a baby and although Cerebral Palsy is considered by most to be a debilitating condition; Lauren's parents never allowed Lauren to think of her situation as such, affording Lauren with a unique and positive outlook regarding her Cerebral Palsy.
Lauren was wheelchair ridden until she began a program called: “the symptom recovery model.” The program was so successful for Lauren, who is now travels the Country and competes as a Ballroom Dancer. as reported from a News Source, she wants to help others and has developed the 'Make Lemon Aide Foundation' for Cerebral Palsy and has organized the 4th Annual Walk/Run/Roll in Lauren’s Shoe’s to be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017!
The 4th Annual Walk/Run/Roll features a 5K run and 1 mile walk, according to News Sources. Anyone can participate whether dealing with Cerebral Palsy or not and even those with wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers are encouraged to participate. Some people are said to be choosing to wear ankle weights so they can experience what it actually feels like to deal with the challenges of having CP (Cerebral Palsy).
