
Buffalo Library Invites You To Its MLK Celebration
The Buffalo & Erie County Library will celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Please join in the celebration of Dr. King at the Frank E. Merriweather Jr., Branch Library. This is the perfect place for you to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King in Buffalo.
Enjoy music, dance, and poetry performances.

$1 Bag Sale
If you are a book lover, you can fill your bag for $1. Place anything from the libraries' book sale area in your own standard-sized or a paper bag from Library staff. The book sale will also take place on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

Monthly Scavenger Hunt
You can join in a scavenger hunt in the Library's Children's Room in Alden and earn a prize!

Taco Trials: Winter Reading Challenge
If your child loves tacos, the Taco Trials are returning for the third year! Your child can win foodie-themed mini prizes and coupons to Mighty Taco. This challenge is for kids 13 & under!
You can sign your child up at the front library desk. The contest runs from today through March 7, 2026. It's officially sponsored by Mighty Taco and is only available at North Park Library.
