Lebron James & Octavia Spencer Are Bringing Madame CJ Walker to Your TV Screens

      Actress Octavia Spencer is teaming up with basketball ace LeBron James to bring the story of America's first black millionaire to the small screen.

Earlier this year, the “Hidden Figures” star said she was preparing to head back to the 1920s to play Madam C.J. Walker, who built a beauty empire after discovering a groundbreaking new hair care formula for black women.

     At the time, the project was envisioned as a movie, but now it's being made as a limited TV series, and officials at LeBron's SpringHill Entertainment production company will be developing the show.  The Cleveland Cavaliers superstar will serve as an executive producer, alongside his company co-founder Maverick Carter, Spencer, series writer Nicole Asher, and pilot director Kasi Lemmons.
