Without help, many people feel they have no choice but to commit crimes in order to survive.

The study, which was published in the journal Labour Economics, states, “Layoffs lead to an increase of criminal charges against displaced male workers, while also decreasing their future earnings and full-time opportunities."
The bad news just keeps coming. The July jobs report shows that only 73,000 jobs were added and that unemployment is on the rise. If crime and unemployment are tied to each other, we're in bad shape. The outlook is pretty gloomy. The terrible shape our country is in, thanks to federal policies, will likely lead to higher crime rates in New York.
